Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson was placed on injured reserve Tuesday with what coach Andy Reid characterized as fractured ribs high in his chest, as the losses continue to pile up on the scoreboard and on the injury list for a 3-8 team.
The Eagles’ most dangerous and productive receiver, who led the team with 45 receptions, was hurt on a late first-quarter end-around in Monday night’s 30-22 loss.
“He’s got multiple fractures,” Reid said. “He actually fractured a couple of ribs up high in his chest. We’ll put DeSean Jackson on Injured Reserve today.”
