On December 11, 2018, DeSean Jackson, of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and his Buccaneer teammates , held the Sixth Annual DeSean Jackson Foundation Shop with a Jock Event at Walmart-Tampa, 1505 North Dale Mabry Highway. The Buccaneers‘ players hosted 35 children from A Kid’s Place of Tampa Bay Inc. to a holiday shopping spree and dinner from Chick-Fil-A, Raymond James Stadium.
The children received a $100 Walmart gift card to shop and were escorted by the players. DeSean Jackson said that the support of his Buccaneers’teammates has been a blessing to the DeSean Jackson Foundation and the recipients of this event. “These young men have taken time away from their families and other obligations on and off the field, states Jackson, to come out tonight to show these kids that they matter; and, the players spend their own money when the kids go over their $100 budget. I was honored, humbled and blessed to have their support.”
