DeSean Jackson, Washington Redskins’ wide receiver; and, his mother, Gayle Jackson arrived at the 2015 Framp Camp, in Bakersfield, CA, today and was greeted by approximately 150 youth, parents, media and a corps of loyal Washington Redskins’ west coast fans.

Time:   9:00am-12:30 ages 8-13

            1:30 – 4:30 ages 14 -18

Registration Fee for youth participating in 2-day camp – $150.00.   Please show up one (1) hour and a half hours prior to the event to sign in.

(Parents of participating athletes will be Admitted free)

Spectators $5.00

University of Southern California (USC) & the University of Utah division One Scouts will be in attendance .

Special Guests:  DeSean Jackson, Washington Redskins, Isiah Green, Pittsburgh Steelers, Ryan Broyles, Detroit Lions, De’Anthony Thomas, Kansas City Chiefs.

 

Kansas Chiefs running back, De’Anthony Thomas, arrived at Framp Camp, on 2/21/2015, and greeted the youth with an autograph session and  motivational speech.

About Framp Camp:

Framp Camp ” Here today to change tomorrow” was created to positively influence a critical youth demographic ages five and up . We provide athletes with a host of complementary lifestyle practices designed to prepare them to better deal with the challenges of everyday life. Targeting football and pairing young people with professional athletes and mentors, the program focuses on developing skills such as teamwork , education  and nutritional balance in an effort to create a positive and / or healthy balance for a demographic susceptible to other less temptations.

Framp Camp was founded by Dwayne Frampton , a former Division One Collegiate Athlete. coach Frampton has trained some of the Top Athletes in the N.F.L today such as Desean Jackson, of the Washington Redskins , Kelcie McCray of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Demario Davis of the New York Jets, Adrian Robinson of the New York Giants and others . Frampton decided to embark on a long journey to train and mentor athletes due to his love for Football and the determination that he has to elevate young athletes today . He figured there was no better way to install the values of educational excellence , teamwork and health than to use his strong knowledge of football to deliver his message .

Snoop Dogg Lion held his annual youth football camp at Crenshaw High in LA on Saturday, June 15, 2013. The event featured several LA area football icons. On hand were former USC coach and current Seattle Seahawks head coach, Pete Carroll. His Seahawks players, Marshawn Lynch and Richard Sherman. Philadelphia Eagles WR DeSean Jackson, Clippers Matt Barnes and his wife Gloria Govan and retired NFL lineman Willie McGinest.

The Snoop Youth Football League is a 501c3 non-profit organization founded to provide the opportunity for inner-city children to participate in youth football and cheer. The SYFL serves children between the ages of five and thirteen, teaching them the values of teamwork, good sportsmanship, discipline, and self-respect, while also stressing the importance of academics.

HISTORY

The Snoop Youth Football League was founded by entertainment icon, Snoop Dogg. The fall of 2005 was the inaugural season of the SYFL, and there were over 1,300 kids in the Los Angeles area that participated. The season began in September and included seven regular season games and a three week playoff, concluding with the “Super Bowl,” at the end of November. SYFL all-star teams were chosen and participants traveled to Houston, TX. In fact, each year an all-star team is selected to travel to another city to compete with children in other football leagues. In addition, this provided opportunities for many children to ride on an airplane, travel to states that they never dreamed of going, and play in the most prestigious stadiums in the United States.

SYFL OBJECTIVE

The objective of the SYFL is to provide youth, regardless of race, color, creed, or economic background the chance to learn the values of character, integrity, discipline, and team work through football and cheer; to bring all other communities together through a common interest in sports; to promote fair play and fellowship; to teach the game elements promoting safety, enjoyment, and healthy competition.
