Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson picked up 7th grade student Jason B. in a limo from his house and took him to E.T. Richardson School in Springfield, PA. Upon arrival, they both visited the Principal’s office, then DeSean spoke to students in a school assembly about the importance of good health. During the visit, Jackson led kids in an NFL Ultimate Physical Education Class, as part of NFL’s PLAY 60 campaign, helping youth get 60 minutes of exercise a day through various fitness activities.
Additionally, the NFL and JCPenney this year have donated funds to support schools in each of these communities, giving children the chance to benefit from programs that encourage the development of healthy lifestyles, improved social skills and enhanced academic performance. Each school also received an equipment donation from Wilson, the official football of the NFL.
